Intensive human resources training for people working in the arts. A
combination of theory and practice under the guidance of experienced
consultants and arts managers. The course will deal extensively with
management problems encountered by the participants in their own specific

Training for young professionals in the cultural sector who have great
plans but no money to realise them. Course leader: Neil Wallace, Offshore

The Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University offers people of all ages and
from all corners of the world the benefits of the knowledge and experience
of a group of top-ranking international academics and professionals, and
the resources of leading Dutch and foreign cultural, academic and
scientific institutions.
This summer (1999) we will present 28
courses in Maastricht and Amsterdam, where
we can also organise accommodation for the
participants. During the courses we aim to
create an atmosphere in which lecturers and
participants will enter the arena of dialogue
and confrontation on an informal basis. At the
end of the daily sessions the participants have
the chance to socialize and to take part in the
cultural evening programme.
The Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer
University is an initiative of the Universiteit
van Amsterdam, the Hogeschool van
Amsterdam and the Universiteit Maastricht.
All courses are produced by our own course
co-ordinators with cultural and academic
institutions in the Netherlands.
All our courses are in English.
